Galaxies in NASCAR
Carolina Galaxies has the unique distinction of being the only chapter that lives right in the heart of NASCAR country. Many other chapters may have a track or two in their area, but this is where NASCAR was born and is still where the highest concentration of active and historic tracks can be found. We feel it's only fitting to dedicate a page to the great drivers and Galaxies that dominated NASCAR throughout the 60s. Many gave their lives to the sport but will forever be remembered for their pioneering accomplishments that in many cases resulted in many of the safety features today's drivers take for granted.
